Hyderabad: Candidates of multiple political parties, in their bid to win the Assembly elections, are opting for a feminine touch during their door-to-door campaigns by bringing along their daughters.

Observers said that although they lacked the professional oratory skills exhibited by politicians, voters connected with them due to their humility and sincerity.

Among the most popular such star campaigners is the 12-year-old daughter of BRS’ Huzurabad candidate Padi Kaushik Reddy, who is up against incumbent Etala Rajendar. Her “cute speeches” have gone viral and many said she was inspiring confidence among the voters, on the lines of national star campaigners.

“Her request to vote for her father is so innocent that the crowd started accepting her as their own family member, mesmerised by her talk,” someone who witnessed the campaign said.

Puja Vyas is who is taking upon the entire campaign responsibility of BRS’ Goshamahal candidate Nanda Kishor Vyas, knocking at the door of every house to seek votes for her father who is challenging incumbent Raja Singh of the BJP.

Puja Vyas said, “I have grown up seeing my father’s hard work. He started his career by buying scrap on a cycle, from door to door. He always went out of his way to help the people. It’s my chance to pay back my father and ensure victory for him, which ultimately helps people of this constituency.”

Congress’ Serilingampally candidate Jagadeeshwar Goud roped in his daughter for his election campaign, as he will go up against incumbent Arekapudi Gandhi of the BRS.

Sangareddy MLA T. Jagga Reddy has roped in daughter Jaya Singh for her oratory skills, which was vindicated as she connected with farmers and left them stunned with her speeches on burning issues.
