YSRC leaders hail Jagan for providing welfare to SC, ST, BC and minorities
Vijayawada/Visakhapatnam/Anantapur: Minister for social welfare Merugu Nagarjuna said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was according top priority for welfare and development of the people belonging to SC, ST, BC and minorities by initiating a series of schemes.
Addressing the gathering as part of Samajika Sadhikara Yatra at Narasaraopet Assembly segment in Palnadu district on Monday, the minister said that out of 2.75 lakh government jobs sanctioned, nearly 80 per cent of those belonging to SC, ST, BC and minorities were benefitted.
Minister for civil supplies Karumuri Nageswara Rao said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was committed to eliminate poverty and called it fortunate to have Jagan Mohan Reddy as CM for AP as he was involved in developing the state by all means. He issued directions to the district collectors to help all eligible beneficiaries to avail the welfare and developmental schemes.
Minister for municipal administration Adimulapu Suresh credited Jagan Mohan Reddy for getting social, political and financial empowerment and justice to the people belonging to SC, ST, BC and minorities in the state.
Defending the government's initiatives in housing, pension and loan waivers for farmers, revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao has challenged Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu to specify the “wrongdoings” of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Addressing a public meeting held in connection with the Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra at Yelamanchili in Anakapalli district on Monday, the minister said Jagan Mohan Reddy brought happiness to the oppressed classes by giving them all kinds of welfare schemes.
He said the Chief Minister stood by his word by giving assigned lands to the poor people. Vouching for Vizag as the capital, the minister said if Visakhapatnam was made the capital, investors would make a beeline to put their money. Chandrababu Naidu wanted Amaravati as capital to enrich his capitalist associates, he added.
Deputy chief minister Budi Mutyala Naidu acknowledged Jagan Mohan Reddy’'s fulfillment of his promises to farmers, women, the elderly and youth. Naidu advocated Jagan's return as chief minister in the upcoming election.
Yelamanchili MLA Kannababu Raju praised the Chief Minister for prioritizing backward communities. Raju claimed there was significant industrial growth in Yelamanchili during Jagan's rule, “which has resulted in increased employment opportunities for local youth.”
Government whip and Chodavaram MLA Karanam Dharmashree explained about the employment opportunities generated by industries during the term of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
He said it was during Rajasekhar Reddy’s tenure Brandix and other industries were established in Atchutapuram SEZ, creating jobs to more than 30,000 people.
Deputy CM Amzad Bhasha lauded Jagan Mohan Reddy for turning social empowerment from a mere slogan to policy.
The Samajika Sadhikara Yatra held in Mydukur in Kadapa district on Monday saw thousands of people participating in it. The event included a bike rally along the KC Canal, culminating in a massive public meeting on Proddatur Road.
Deputy chief minister K. Narayana Swamy, hailing from the ST community, passionately spoke about his journey from being an illiterate and poor child. In an emotional address, he stated, 'Isn't it laudable that a person like me, belonging to the Scheduled Tribes caste, who was illiterate and poor, has become the deputy chief minister? This is the kind of transformational change our chief minister has made.”
Deputy CM Amzad Basha further highlighted the unity of SC, ST, BC, and minority leaders under Jagan Reddy’s rule.
Health minister Vidadala Rajini underscored the development brought by Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government and its impact on the growth of Kadapa. She went on to cite the establishment of 17 new medical colleges and revolutionary changes in the medical field through Nadu-Nedu.
YSRC leaders took it as a matter of their prestige to conduct the Samajika Sadhikartha Yatra in Kadapa , home turf of chief minister Jagan Reddy, on Nov 23.
“We are conducting Samajika Sadhikara Yatra on November 23 in Kadapa headquarters and a public meeting will be held at 7 Roads Centre,” the Deputy CM said.
