300 seers assemble at K Chandrasekhar Rao farmhouse

Hyderabad: The five-day Chaturveda Purassara Maharudra Sahita Sahasra Chandi yagam, being performed by TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, commenced amid chanting of Vedic hymns at his farmhouse in Erravalli village in Gajwel, Siddipet district, on Monday.

Under the stewardship of Swami Swaroopananda from Vishakhapatnam Peetham, with the blessings of Jagadguru Sringeri Peetadhipati Bharathi Teertha Swamy, the Chief Minister and his wife Shobha Rao performed various rituals. They began with the Chandiyagam in which Ganapathi Puja, Shuddi Punyahavachanam, Rith-vic Varnam, Chaturveda Parayanam, Yogashala Pradakshinam, Gopuja, Guru Puja and Navagraha Puja were performed. 

About 300 seers from various places participated in the Yagam. On the first day, 100 Sapthashati Chandi Parayanam, Sahasra Chandiyagam, Raja Shya-mala Yagam, Chaturveda Maha Yagam and Rudra Mahayagam were conducted. Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao performed the Raja Shyamala Yagam for the overall benefit of the people, successful continuation of welfare and development initiatives and abundant rains with bountiful of produce. They also prayed for the country and for a better administration. 

Several TRS MPs, MLAs and MLCs, the Chief Minister’s family members, Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, home minister Mahmood Ali, TRS secretary general Mr K. Keshava Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao and their families also participated in the programme.
