Congress will win 22 LS seats in Karnataka: Siddaramaiah
The BJP will not win even five LS seats in the state, Siddaramaiah said.
Hubballi: Former CM Siddaramaiah claimed on Thursday that the Congress would win at least 22 seats in the state this Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the seat-sharing arrangement between the coalition partners would be worked out after a meeting with the top brass of the JD(S).
"The Congress’ preparations for Lok Sabha elections are underway. Seat-sharing with JD(S) will depend on how many constituencies we can each win. We have held our election committee meeting and will hold another in the next three days,” he said.
On whether Ms Sumalatha Ambareesh, widow of the actor/politician, would be fielded from Mandya, he said an "appropriate decision” would be taken on this after discussion with JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda.
“The BJP will not win even five LS seats in the state. I had made a similar prediction in the past that Mr Yeddyurappa would not become chief minister again and JD(S) would not come to power on its own,” he said.
