M Karunanidhi fixes victory target for district secretaries
And said such victories would serve the objective of his living for 92 years.
Chennai: DMK chief M. Karunanidhi on Monday asked the party's district secretaries to win two to four constituencies in each district and said such victories would serve the objective of his living for 92 years.
While district secretaries of smaller units should win two seats, those functioning in bigger districts should win three to four seats, he said, speaking at the party's district secretaries meeting in the city.
Citing the target set by DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin, who spoke earlier, Karunanidhi said the target was aimed at inviting competition to achieve the party's objective and not to threaten the functionaries. Stalin had included himself in working for such a target, Karunanidhi added. "Victory is not about contesting in elections and winning them. You should consider victory and defeat as the same, but work for victory", he added.
