Nalgonda leader hits out at rival
Former AICC member Guduru Narayana Reddy opposed Mr Rajagopala Reddy's argument.
Hyderabad: The consultation process for the selection of district Congress presidents by AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh ran into rough weather, with two prominent Congress leaders from Nalgonda district coming to blows.
Speaking to the selection committee, former Bhongir MP and present MLC Komatireddy Rajagopala Reddy said he should be considered for the post of Bhongiri DCC president since he belongs to the same Lok Sabha constituency.
Former AICC member Guduru Narayana Reddy opposed Mr Rajagopala Reddy’s argument saying that he doesn’t belong to the new Nalgonda district as he is from Bhongir. He accused Rajagopala Reddy as a contractor who grew in politics with blessings of his elder brother. An infuriated Rajagopala Reddy thrashed Narayana Reddy.
