BJP to take legal route to stop GO 111 scrapping
HYDERABAD: The BJP will contest the state government decision to withdraw GO 111 that offered protection to the buffer zones of Osmansagar and Himayatsagar and the party will take up a legal battle to prevent the government from going ahead with this decision, state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar declared on Monday.
Addressing the one-day BJP state executive meeting, Sanjay Kumar said the party’s legal cell will pursue this issue, as well the government decision to allot land in Kokapet to the BRS. Sanjay Kumar was referring to the recent state Cabinet decisions on withdrawing GO 111, and allotting 11 acres of land in Kokapet to the BRS for setting up an ‘Institute for Excellence and Human Resource Development’.
Sanjay Kumar had previously criticised the government decision on Kokapet land allocation saying the land, worth hundreds of crores of rupees was given to the BRS at a throwaway price.
