Ramakrishna Reddy said that a lot of injustice was done to the employees during the Chandrababu term
Vijayawada: Adviser to government (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said the problems of contract faculty working in universities will be resolved soon by taking them to the notice of the chief minister. “This government solves the problems of contract, outsourcing and other workers and do justice to them,” he crooned.
The leaders of the AP Federation of University Teachers Association have requested the government to provide job security to contract assistant professors and contract teachers working for the last 18 years in 14 universities.
President of AP federation of university teachers association Kode Arjun, general secretary Malli Bhaskar, organising secretary Harish and others met Sajjala at the Tadepalli camp office and explained their difficulties.
They informed the adviser that about 1860 people were working for more than 15 years with very low wages in the state universities. They wanted job security and a raise in their wages.
Ramakrishna Reddy said that a lot of injustice was done to the employees during the Chandrababu term. Besides correcting these, the issues like promotions pending for years were solved in the departments like revenue, teaching and Panchayat Raj.
