Corrupt political parties ganged up with BRS: BJP
Prabhakar accused Chandrashekar Rao of forming the BRS with the aim of investing his ill-gotten wealth in Telangana in other states
HYDERABAD: Political parties led by corrupt leaders, and that have failed to provide transparent governance, were now getting together under the Bharat Rashtra Samithi banner, Telangana BJP vice-president and former MLA
N..V.S.S. Prabhakar has said.
He said parties like the AAP, TMC, and the SP which failed to provide good
governance and failed in mitigating problems faced by farmers are joining
hands with BRS led by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, who
himself, has failed to address problems faced by people of his state.
Prabhakar, addressing a press meet in New Delhi on Wednesday, accused
Chandrashekar Rao of forming the BRS with the aim of investing his
ill-gotten wealth in Telangana in other states. "The BRS is nothing more
than a rehabilitation centre for leaders sidelined by their respective
parties," he said.
Prabhakar alleged that, "KCR and other BRS leaders including Telangana Chief
Minister's daughter K. Kavitha, and some ministers, are neck deep in
corruption and the BRS is an effort to provide them with shelter. When KCR
failed to resolve problems of farmers of Telangana, how can he solve the
problems of farmers in the country?"
Referring to Punjab Chief Minister and AAP leader Bhagwant Singh Mann and
Chandrashekar Rao meeting in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Prabhakar said they did
not meet to discuss welfare of people but to figure out ways to wriggle out
from trouble as BRS, and APP leaders are involved in corruption.
On the infighting in the Congress, he said, "Former Madhya Pradesh chief
minister and senior party leader Digvijaya Singh coming in as a
trouble-shooter will not help that party. It was Digvijaya Singh who had
tried to merge the TRS in the Congress when Telangana was carved out. Now,
with him back in the state, the Congress and the BRS will again move closer
to each other.
