Hyderabad: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said on Monday that his party is only interested in constructive politics and taking up people’s issues but not in playing destructive politics.

The actor-turned-politician showed maturity in not making any sensational remarks against anybody as many had expected, especially against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

On the contrary, he showered praises on Mr Chandrasekhar Rao, saying that the latter was working hard and is a smart Chief Minister.

Pawan Kalyan called the TRS chief a leader, who had united political parties for achieving the statehood for Telangana.

Pawan Kalyan made these comments before embarking on his first tour of Telangana since floating the Jana Sena four years ago. He will be meeting his partymen and workers at various places during the tour.

He began his tour by worshipping at the Kondagattu shrine of Lord Hanuman near Jagtial in erstwhile Karimnagar district. He believes that Lord Hanuman saved him from being electrocuted when he was campaigning for the 2014 elections.

Defending his meeting with the CM, he said, “What is wrong in meeting him? I like Telangana. I will forever work for getting its issues resolved... I cannot help those thinking I am going to split the Opposition vote and anti-establishment vote. I am for constructive politics.”
