Malayalam actor assault case: Accused Vijeesh CPM man, claims BJP
Mr Jayarajan also took to the Facebook to deny the allegations, saying he was living at Kottayadi in the neighbouring Pattiam panchayat.
Thiruvananthapuram/ Kozhikode: BJP state general secretary M. T. Ramesh has alleged that V. P. Vijeesh who is at large after last week's assault on film star in Kochi got connections with the CPM Kannur lobby.
He also claimed that his brother Sajilesh is also an accused in the BJP leader Kadirur Manoj's murder.
Mr Ramesh alleged that Vijeesh is a native of Chundangapoil in Kadirur panchayat which means that he is the neighbour of P. Jayarajan, Kannur district secretary.
He said when the police was on a lookout for him, Vijeesh is roaming around, and it was clear who was helping him and Sunil, the other absconder.
“Now it goes without saying that Vijeesh is a CPM man. If the quotation teams were on the scene, direction and script would be by prominent ruling front leaders behind the curtain,” Mr Ramesh said on Facebook. He also said Vijeesh was on the party roll.
"Only when one comes to know that his brother Sajilesh is an accused in the conspiracy related to Manoj murder, will he understand that how much he is close to the party,” he added.
Mr Jayarajan also took to the Facebook to deny the allegations, saying he was living at Kottayadi in the neighbouring Pattiam panchayat.
“Everybody knows how far is Kottayadi from Chundangapoil,” he said.
