Bengaluru: BJP launches sack Haris' campaign
Congress is not taking action against MLA Haris by saying they can't punish the father for a crime committed by his son.
Bengaluru: The BJP has launched a ‘Sack Haris’ campaign on social media to build pressure on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to sack Shanthinagar Congress MLA NA Haris whose son, Mohammed Nalapad and his associates had brutally assaulted a youth at a cafe here last Saturday, from the party.
The BJP Karnataka Unit tweeted, "Congress is not taking action against MLA Haris by saying they can't punish the father for a crime committed by his son. But the main culprit in this case is MLA Haris, who has abused his office to prevent proper investigation & due process of law. He must be sacked. Continuing in the same vein, the BJP tweeted, “ Police Inspector who followed MLA Haris' orders is suspended. But the man who gave orders in the first place, MLA Haris, is untouched. This is neither fair nor logical. There won't be justice in this case unless NA Haris is sacked. Why is CM protecting him?”
“Mr Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Kannadigas are asking questions. Why are you protecting MLA Haris who is misleading the ongoing probe? How is justice possible if the MLA is not sacked from the Assembly membership. Are you protecting MLA Haris who collects hafta from bars and pubs in Shanthinagar constituency?... Speak up, Mr CM”.
