BENGALURU: With the Karnataka High Court on Thursday adjourning the petition seeking disqualification of the seven JD(S) MLAs to April 2 after the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker sought time to respond, the seven JD(S) rebel MLAs are free to cast their vote in Friday's Rajya Sabha elections.

Justice Raghavendra Chauhan adjourned the hearing to April 2, after the Speaker submitted he will need time to file his objections. The advocate for the two JD(S) MLAs had sought disqualification, arguing that seeking time was an attempt to prevent the court from passing an interim order.
