Hyderabad: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader N.V.S.S. Prabhakar, who is also the vice-president of the state unit, hit out at the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for allegedly ignoring governance and deputing ministers and bureaucrats to rescue K. Kavitha from the Delhi excise policy scam.

“Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is busy bailing out his minister-son K.T. Rama Rao and MLC Kavitha from TSPSC question paper leaks and liquor scam,” he said, addressing mediapersons at Shayama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan on Thursday.

He accused Chandrashekar Rao of ignoring the four-crore people of the state.

“For the past two months, all ministers and administration staff were busy discussing Delhi liquor scam, even as 30 lakh unemployed youths are worried over leakage of question papers and farmers facing crop damage due to hailstorms,” he said.

Prabhakar also slammed the state government for neglecting the Centre’s Fasal Bima scheme, which could have insured farmers against crop damages.

“For the past nine years, the BRS government failed to give compensation for crop damage. Owners of outsourcing agencies and their links with the Chief Minister’s Office should be brought under investigation of the TSPSC episode,” he said.

Prabhakar demanded K.T. Rama Rao’s resignation from the Cabinet, taking moral responsibility for the question paper leaks. “The people of Telangana were watching the misrule of the BRS government,” he said.
