Aruna warns Congress leaders over alleged pact with BRS
HYDERABAD: BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna said that a secret pact between BRS and the Congress had been exposed once again, with the revelation by BJP legislator Etala Rajendar that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had handed over Rs 25 crore to the Congress during the Munugode byelection.
In order to prevent the success of BJP in the byelections, the two parties had colluded in Huzurabad, Dubbak and Munugode, she said. BJP will not spare the Congress leaders if they continue to blame Rajendar, who fought for Telangana statehood, Aruna said.
TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy was trying to get ‘cheap’ publicity with his ‘emotional’ reactions to Rajendar’s remarks, she said.
Congress leaders were reading the script written against the BJP by Chandrashekar Rao, she said. Aruna dared Revanth Reddy to take oath in the Bhagyalakshmi that he was not involved in the cash for vote scam involving a nominated MLC.
Elsewhere, former MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, the losing candidate in the Munugode bypoll, said that Revanth Reddy had no credibility among the people and no moral right to enter the Bhagyalakshmi temple.
‘I will file a defamation case against him for making allegations against me in the Rs 18,000 global tender process’, he said.
