Naidu condemns attack on him
Vijayawada: TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu condemned the attack on him during his visit to Yerragondapalem in Prakasam district on Friday. He directed party leaders to lodge a complaint with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and take up the issue with Centre, so that it could order a probe.
Accordingly, Telugu Desam state president K. Atchannaidu has complained to the Governor, requesting him to initiate action against police for failing to protect the party’s national president during his visit to Yerragondapalem.
Atchannaidu alleged that stone pelting on Naidu is part of a conspiracy of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSR Congress state general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and I-PAC team led by its head Prashant Kishore.
The TD’s state chief said though he had written letters to DGP and SPs of Kadapa, Prakasam and Palnadu about the possibility of an attack on their party national president, police had failed in providing protection to Naidu.
Atchannaidu went on to charge that the aim of conspirators had been to target NSG commandos, so that they would open fire on Dalits. YSRC would then blame the Telugu Desam Party for violence against Dalits.
Telugu Desam politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu accused YSR Congress leadership of resorting to cheap politics. He wondered about minister Suresh suddenly bearing his chest publicly in Yerragondapalem when he had been ignoring attacks on Dalits for past four years.
Ramakrishnudu called upon people to see such anarchy and elect TD to power in the forthcoming assembly elections, so that it could provide good governance in Andhra Pradesh.
