Mangaluru: As the Narendra Modi government completes nine years in power, the BJP camp is abuzz with special contact campaigns and outreach programmes aimed at showcasing the government's achievements during its two terms. In Karnataka, the BJP leaders have decided to take this opportunity to shed light on the confusions and failures of the Congress guarantee schemes.

Running until July end, the contact campaigns and outreach programmes which include workers' convention and public contact programme, are being conducted in various places of Karnataka by seven dedicated teams.

This endeavour is considered the first step in preparing for the upcoming Parliamentary elections, scheduled next year.

"While we primarily aim to emphasize the achievements of the Modi government, we will also bring attention to the failures and confusion that arose during the implementation of the guarantee schemes," former speaker of Karnataka Assembly Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said.

"To hide their failures they are creating confusion. We will inform the people and our workers about this and how it has impacted the people. There is a noticeable sense of discontent and dissatisfaction among the people," he said.
