Guntur: TD leaders are alleging that the YSRC was provoking the Nandyal public in the name of caste, religion and sect, but Opposition leaders have refuted those allegations.

Instead, they alleged that the TD was luring voters with money and other sops to win the election.

Addressing a press meet in the YSRC office at Guntur on Tuesday, YSRC state secretary Kilari Rosaish alleged that the TD was deceiving the public by giving numerous poll sops in order to win the Nandyal byelection.

He claimed that the public of Nandyal were readying to teach a befitting lesson to the TD. He severely objected the comments of MLA Bonda Umama-heswara Rao against YSRC MLA R.K. Roja and alleged that TD leaders were doing bad politics in Nandyal with the support of power.

Meanwhile in another press meet, TD MLC Dokka Manikyavaraprasada Rao alleged that YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was provoking the voters on the name of caste, religion and sects by staying in Nandyal. He said Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s only aim is to become the CM and he would go to any extent to fulfil his wish, ignoring public welfare. He objected to the comments of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy against AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and said the Opposition Leader had no respect for someone of his father’s age. He predicted the TD’s victory in Nandyal and Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s exit from politics in the coming days.

Similarly AP minister for social welfare N. Ananda Babu and other TD leaders leveled allegations against the YSRC during their press meets.
