HYDERABAD: The Telangana state BJP, under the slogan 'KCR Hatao, BJP Jitao, Telangana Bachao”, intensified its attack on Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and the ruling BRS by organising protests at the MLAs' camp offices in various districts on Tuesday.

Amid reports of clashes with BRS workers at some MLA camp offices and instances where the police prevented protests, the BJP issued a warning that it would escalate its activities. They planned similar protests at the offices of all ministers on Thursday, followed by sit-ins at all district collectorates. This would be followed by a massive 'Chalo Hyderabad' on September 7. The BJP's demands include the fulfilment of promises made by the BRS government, such as providing two-bedroom houses for the poor, full implementation of welfare schemes like Dalit Bandhu, and the commencement of the promised unemployment allowance for youth, among others.

Speaking at a party workers' meeting in Chevella, state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said BJP workers were confronted at MLA offices by BRS supporters but asserted that the party would not be intimidated by such actions.

Meanwhile, senior party leaders, including BJP Rajya Sabha member and party Parliamentary Board member Dr K. Laxman, claimed that BJP workers were attacked by "BRS goons" and were met with police baton charges during their protests. Numerous BJP workers sustained injuries. Laxman stated, "The 'Lotus Army' is on the move and will not stop until KCR and BRS are defeated in the elections."

Laxman further said, "BRS MLAs have gone into hiding, unable to face questions from the people about unfulfilled promises. When we go to their offices, we are attacked. The BRS MLAs, whom KCR claimed were taking a 30 per cent commission from welfare schemes, were given tickets again. Have they suddenly become honest, or did KCR give them the green signal to continue looting before the polls?"
