14-member committee to steer BJP’s campaign in Munugode

HYDERABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party has formed a 14- member steering committee to guide it to victory in the Munugode bypoll, which the party believes it can win, changing the course of politics in the state and bringing it to power when general elections for the state Legislative Assembly are held next year.

G. Vivek Venkatswamy, a member of the party's national executive committee and a former MP, will head the committee, state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar announced on Thursday.

Assisting Vivek will be senior party leaders Etela Rajendar, AP Jithendar Reddy, Garikapati Mohan Rao, Vijaya Shanthi, Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, K. Swamy Goud, Dr A. Chandrashekar, Endala Lakshminarayana, D. Ravindra Naik, Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Kapilvai Dileep Kumar, T. Achary, and Dr Sravan Dasoju.

The committee is expected to start working in a day or two for setting up ground-level party leaders and workers committees to ensure smooth functioning between BJP cadres and supporters of its candidate Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy.
