Hyderabad: Senior TS BJP leader N. Indrasena Reddy on Monday said that if the party was elected to power in the forthcoming elections, an investigation would be ordered into the alleged corruption by caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his Cabinet colleagues.

Mr Reddy, a former MP, said it was certain that Mr Rao would go to jail and asked him and his Cabinet colleagues to be ready to face the probe.

He said that except TRS candidates, nobody was happy in the state. Mr Reddy said the people of all sections were disappointed with the TRS rule as the party had cheated them with false promises. Despite this, the TRS was dreaming of retaining power in the upcoming elections, he said.

Mr Reddy also attributed the abusive language used by Mr Rao’s family to intolerance.

Taking on the Congress, the BJP leader said that the people of Telangana state were not ready to believe party president Rahul Gandhi’s assurances. He said the Congress has become a “care-of address” for scams.
