HYDERABAD: TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is most likely to address a public meeting in Munugode Assembly constituency on October 30 or November 1, the last day of the campaign, ahead of the November 3.

With BJP president J.P. Nadda set to address a public meeting in Munugode on October 31, party sources said that Rao had asked TRS leaders to arrange for his public meeting a day prior. Rao is expected to finalise the date after Diwali.

Sources said Rao would address a public meeting on October 30 if he wanted to pose questions to Nadda and set the agenda on Modi government's failures in the last eight years,  'discrimination' shown by the Ceentre against Telangana and demand a reply.

On the other hand, if the Chief Minister preferred to counter Nadda’s allegations, he would opt for a public meeting on November 1, they added.

Rao’s public meeting is likely to be in Chandur. He had addressed his first public meeting in Munugode on August 20 even before the Election Commission had issued the bypoll notification.

There are also requests from TRS leaders that Rao should camp or visit Munugode constituency for three days or a week after Diwali so as to boost the morale of the party's rank and file and also boost the party's winning prospects.

Besides, by speaking on November 1, when canvassing for the bypoll ends, the Chief Minister would get the opportunity to wrap up the TRS campaign with a massive  show of strength.
