Congress has More Doctors & Lawyers, BRS More Engineers

Hyderabad: A look at the educational qualifications of the candidates fielded by three major political parties BRS, BJP and the Congress shows that the Congress has five doctors in the fray, followed by three from the ruling BRS and one doctor from the BJP.

At 15, the Congress has more number of lawyers, followed by 14 in the BJP and 11 in the BRS.

The BRS has five candidates who could not pursue their education beyond Class 10, the Congress fielded three and the BJP four.

Forum for Good Governance president M. Padmanabha Reddy said the parties have taken care to field educated candidates in a majority of the seats, but it would benefit more to the society and democracy at large, if they take the same care to not field candidates with criminal background.
