Nara Lokesh invites Pegasystems to invest in AP

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Lokesh said that AP has been giving priority to natural farming.

Vijayawada: Minister for IT Nara Lokesh interacted with Pegasystems CEO Alan Trefler during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Summit held in Davos on Wednesday and explained the IT policy adopted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The minister invited Pegasystems to invest in AP.

Responding over the invitation of the minister, Pegasystems CEO Alan Trefler said that they are ready to work with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He said that a decision would be taken soon over the investments in AP.

Later, the minister for IT interacted with Nestle Executive vice-president and CEO Chris Johnson. Nestle Group has been operating in 189 countries with more than 3 lakh employees. The group has been running a dairy and producing more than 2,000 brands.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Lokesh said that AP has been giving priority to natural farming. He said Araku Coffee was branded to benefit large number of tribal people. He said that the State Government initiated steps to develop agriculture and dairy sector. He said a target was set to promote 5,000 brands on the lines of Araku coffee and sought the cooperation of Nestle Group. He invited the Nestle CEO to AP to witness the development in the state.

The Nestle CEO said that Nestle Group is ready to work with AP and assured cooperation for rural brand marketing. He said Nestle team will visit the state soon.
