Vijayawada: The state government will support the establishment of a world class Bible Museum in Amaravati, promised social welfare minister Nakka Anand Babu on Wednesday.
The minister interacted with elders of the Christian community who called on him at the Secretariat here.
The visitors showed models of the Bible Museum to the Minister.
On this occasion Mr Anand Babu said, “As promised earlier by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the government will support the community in all aspects regarding the establishment of the Bible Museum.”
He asked the Christian community leaders to finalise the designs and the tender process within 10 days and the government will take the decisions regarding the funding of the Museum.
Mr Anand Babu advised them to ensure that the Museum showcases important incidents mentioned in the Holy Bible so that it attracts Christians from across the globe. The community elders asked the minister to allocate three acres in Amaravati to establish a university.
