VIJAYAWADA: Ministers Taneti Vanitha, Ambati Rambabu and Botsa Satyanarayana, apart from State Planning Board vice chairman Malladi Vishnu, have asserted that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has put all regions of Andhra Pradesh on the path of development.

They made the assertion while launching several development works in the Vijayawada Central constituency on Thursday. These include Nuzvid road development work in 64 Division at a cost of ₹3.65 crores, Kapu Community Hall in 62 Division with an expenditure of ₹1 crore, and ₹1.06 crore Urban Primary Health Centre in 58 Division. Later, they started a housing registration process for poor in Rajarajeshwaripet.

Home minister Vanitha said the welfare schemes introduced by Jagan Mohan Reddy are benefiting all sections of the poor. They have brought a positive change in their lives, with every poor family benefitting from five to six schemes.

Education minister Satyanarayana said the government's main aim is to uninterruptedly benefit the poor financially, despite the state facing a financial crisis.

Water resources minister Rambabu alleged that the Telugu Desam government had deceived the poor while promising house site pattas. However, the YSRC government has handed over pattas to all the eligible poor without any political bias, so that the poor across the state could benefit.

Planning board vice-chairman and Central MLA Malladi Vishnu said 3,500 houses have been registered on Tuesday in the name of the poor for just ₹100 each. Another 500 houses will be registered very soon, he stated.

City mayor R. Bhagyalakshmi, deputy mayors Bellam Durga and A. Sri Sailaja Reddy, joint collector S.N. Ajay and local corporators were among those present.
