It's Nidde Sarkara, not Sidda Sarkara: Rajnath Singh
Mr Singh also said the Congress and corruption are two faces of the same coin.
Mangaluru: Attacking the Congress government in the state on various issues including corruption and law and order, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh expressed confidence that the BJP will romp home in the coming Assembly polls and B.S. Yeddyurappa will become Chief Minister.
Mr Singh was in the coastal districts to participate in the poll campaign at Karkala, Belthangady and Udupi on Monday. Mocking at the slogan (Sada Sidda Sarkara) of the state government, Singh said that the state government was not ‘Sidda Sarkara,’ but ‘Nidde Sarkara’, (government in deep slumber).
“Let the government sleep, don’t wake them up," he told people during his speech.
Mr Singh also said the Congress and corruption are two faces of the same coin.
“Ministers of the Congress government are involved in corruption. Where is the development in the state after the Central government provided a massive 2 lakh crore to Karnataka under the 14th Finance Commission,” he said.
“The Congress does not want development. Instead it wants to celebrate Tipu Jayanti but does not like celebrating Hanuman Jayanthi,” he alleged. "Siddaramaiah who did not call himself a Hindu, has suddenly remembered Hindus when the election is at our doors. He is dividing Hindus with the only intention of ensuring Yeddyurappa does not become CM. But we will ensure that Yeddurappa becomes Chief Minister this time,” he declared.
