V Hanumantha Rao hits out at Congress leaders
Mr Rao told mediapersons that he had asked the party not to re-admit the defected MLAs back into the party at a later date.
Hyderabad: AICC secretary and former MP V. Hanumantha Rao alleged that the party leadership had failed to prevent the defection of legislators, nor had the incharges taken any interest in the matter.
Mr Rao told mediapersons that he had asked the party not to re-admit the defected MLAs back into the party at a later date.
The senior Cong-ress leader accused the party of giving importance to newcomers and ignoring old-timers.
The former Rajya Sabha member asked the people to rebel against the defected MLAs in their constituencies.
Mr Rao said the ensuing zilla and mandal parishad elections are being restricted to the rich, and political leaders from among the are not able to contest.
Only the rich were contesting the Asse-mbly and the Lok Sabha elections and spending large amounts of money which the police and the Election Commission had failed to prevent.
