HYDERABAD: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the public meeting to be addressed by BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at Aurangabad in Maharashtra on Monday.

Several BRS leaders led by Armoor MLA A.Jeevan Reddy have been camping in Aurangabad for the last two weeks to make the third BRS public meeting in Maharashtra a grand success. Party leaders are making efforts to mobilise over one lakh people from Aurangabad and surrounding districts.

BRS leaders have engaged a dozen vehicles fitted with LED screens and audio-visual equipment to campaign "Telangana model" of development programmes and welfare schemes. These vehicles are touring Aurangabad and surrounding districts seeking the support of people for the BRS and urging them to attend the CM's public meeting.

After the TRS was rebranded as the BRS to foray into national politics in October last year, the CM has laid special focus on Maharashtra. The CM has already announced that the BRS will contest local bodies elections in Maharashtra which are expected to be held in the next few weeks.

The BRS has also registered itself with the Maharashtra State Election Commission to contest local bodies elections.

Against this backdrop, the CM addressed the first public meeting in Nanded on February 5 and the second public meeting in Kandhar-Loha on March 26.

The BRS admitted several local leaders from various political parties in Maharashtra. All these leaders would join the BRS formally in the presence of the CM in Aurangabad on Monday.
