DMK boycotts Assembly, allies walk out after question hour

Chennai: The 10 DMK members not suspended from Assembly proceedings announced that they would boycott the House till August 29 when the suspension of 79 DMK MLAs would end.
Members of DMK's alliance parties, the Congress and IUML attended the Assembly during the question hour and raised queries over problems in their constituencies. After the question hour, members of both parties staged a walk out. Outside the Assembly, Congress floor leader K. R. Ramasamy said they had requested Speaker P. Dhanapal to revoke the suspension of DMK MLAs, but no announcement had come from the Speaker so far. So, they walked out the House, he added.
