Jagan to credit Rs 216 cr into accounts of 2.62 lakh leftover' beneficiaries

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will credit Rs 216.34 crore directly into the accounts of 2,62,169 leftover beneficiaries of the welfare schemes, the benefits of which were disbursed between December 2022  and July 2023.

The CM did so with the click of a button on August 24.

The officials explained that the Jagan government is determined to see that every eligible person gets welfare benefits. Fully committed to see that no eligible person is left out of the welfare benefits, he is giving another opportunity to the eligible.

“Those who missed the benefits for any reason in the past, need to apply afresh in Village/Ward Secretariats. Their applications will be verified and, if found eligible, the benefit will be provided to them once every six months.”

The list of all beneficiaries is displayed in village / ward secretariats in a transparent manner for social audit.

Including the benefit being provided today, a total of Rs 1,647 crore has been provided to the eligible leftover beneficiaries in four terms since the inception of the scheme  in December 2021.

Through Jagananna Suraksha, besides providing 94,62,184 necessary certificates to all the eligible, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government is now providing benefits to 12,405 new beneficiaries who were found eligible. Further Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is benefiting 1,630 newly eligible people today, after verifying the applications received through the Jaganannaku Chebudham.
