YSRC to win 175 seats: Vanitha

Kakinada: Home Minister Taneti Vanitha said YSRC will win 175 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections, with the trend being in favour of the ruling party.

She convened a meeting with party secretariat conveners and Gruha Saradhis at her camp office in Kovvur of East Godavari district on Saturday. She underlined that people have made Kovvur constituency a stronghold of YSRC. She called upon party workers to continue the same trend in coming elections also

The minister maintained that though all parties are approaching people in view of the elections, people have decided on ensuring a win for the YSRC party owing to the welfare schemes that it has implemented for all sections of the society, including women and economically, politically and socially disadvantaged communities.

Vanitha said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has implemented reservations for women in all nominated posts and also nominated works. He has brought in the DISHA Act for protection and safety of women.

The minister pointed out that 31 lakhs house sites have been registered in the name of women in the state.

She said previously, people used to roam around offices for years together to solve their problems. But now, the situation has changed. Their grievances are being sorted out at their door steps.
