Tejashwi Yadav releases election manifesto
“The BJP is trying to fool people by its fake commitment†: Tejashwi Yadav
Patna : RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav reiterated his commitment for 10 Lakh jobs to state’s youth and promised overall development of Bihar while releasing his party’s separate manifesto for Bihar elections on Saturday.
Major points included in the RJD manifesto titled “Hamara Pran” (our pledge) is employment, scrapping of farm laws enacted by the central government, better education and health system, smart villages and infrastructure development for the growth of industries and agriculture.
“This is our pledge, not a manifesto. Our party’s resolution is to bring overall development in Bihar”, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said while releasing his party’s manifesto in Patna.
Using the occasion to lash out at the BJP for promising 19 Lakh job in its manifesto which was released a week earlier, Tejashwi Yadav said that “the BJP is trying to fool people by its fake commitment”.
He said, “There is a difference between employment and earning. Providing 10 Lakh jobs to state’s youth is our top priority which we will sanction immediately after the grand alliance is elected to power. We could have promised more than 50 Lakh or 1 crore jobs but our party doesn't make false commitments like the NDA. All promises will be fulfilled after the grand alliance is elected to power”.
“BJP should explain how the party will provide 19 Lakh jobs when Nitish Kumar is raising questions on our commitment for 10 Lakh jobs to state’s youth”, Tejashwi Yadav added.
Clarifying the party’s stand over its job promises, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that about 4.5 Lakh positions are lying vacant in the state government and an additional 5.5 Lakh jobs would be provided in health, education, police and technical sectors.
While releasing the manifesto in the presence of other senior party leaders, he said that the manifesto also carries messages from RJD Chief Lalu Yadav and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi.
The grand alliance comprising of RJD, Congress and three left parties are in the fray against the NDA led by Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and the BJP.
The elections in Bihar for 243 assembly seats are to be held in three phases from October 28 onwards and results will be declared on November 10.
