Hyderabad: The TRS MLAs poachgate case has revealed the desperation of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s attempts to prevent investigations into his corrupt practices, state BJP official spokesperson N.V. Subhash has said.

In a statement on Tuesday, Subhash said the Chief Minister’s attitude reflects the phrase of ‘ulta chor kotwal ko dante’. He added that Central investigation agencies have been functioning independently for years to flush out corrupt people, and after the surfacing of “liquor scam allegedly involving TRS leaders and MLC K. Kavitha, KCR has become desperate”.

On Kavitha’s comments at a meeting in Nagireddypeta on senior BJP leader B.L. Santosh, the BJP spokesperson said the TRS MLC did not have the stature to comment on someone like Santosh.
