AP, Telangana divide movable assets of High Court

The suggestion of the Chief Secretary, government of Andhra Pradesh was accepted and division of movable assets was done accordingly.

Vijayawada: A meeting was held on Thursday in the Buddha Purnima Project Building, Hyderabad, on the issue of distribution of movable assets belonging to the common High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, between the High Courts of both the states.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary A.C. Punetha and Telangana Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi, Registrars General of  High Courts of Andhra Pradesh and  Telangana, Law Secretaries of both the states participated in the meeting.

The issue of division of movable assets like vehicles, mobile phones, other Computer Systems and Printers, LED Display Boards and Hardware VC Units and Library Books was discussed.

Mr Punetha, suggested that the division of the movable assets may be done in the population ratio in tune with the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014. The suggestion of the Chief Secretary, government of Andhra Pradesh was accepted and division of movable assets was done accordingly.
