Bengaluru: Lobbying seems to have intensified among the wives and daughters of senior Congress leaders to get the Lok Sabha ticket.
State women Congress chief Pushpa Amarnath said that none other than Geeta, KPCC working president Eshwar Khandre's wife is lobbying for the Lok Sabha ticket for the Bidar seat.

Former MLA Vijayanand Kashappanavar's wife Veena is lobbying hard for the Bagalkote seat while former minister, H.Y. Meti's daughter Bayakka Meti too is lobbying for the same seat, Ms Amarnath said.
According to her, Monday is the last day for submitting applications after which the party would decide on fielding women candidates.
She, however, clarified that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Dinesh Gundurao’s wife Tabu Rao would not enter electoral politics now.
