Vijayawada: BJP national executive member Somu Veerraju, MLC, alleged corruption in majority Telugu Desam’s government schemes, including the Pattiseema and Polvaram irrigation projects.
He told mediapersons here on Saturday that the estimates of the Pattiseema project had risen by 22 per cent to Rs 1,627 crore.
In the Polavaramn project, the left main canal work was raised to Rs 60 crore from Rs 15 crore and the work was awarded to a company of a person 'renominated to the Rajya Sabha by TD’.
He said there was rampant corruption in sand mining and funds worth hundreds of crores under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan had been syphoned off in the name of training parents.
He said the Chief Minister had lost control over his MLAs and demanded a white paper on the fund utilisation under NREGS, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and Neeru Chettu schemes.
