Governor ESL Narasimhan tried to convince N Chandrababu Naidu over alliance
Mr Naidu reportedly told the Governor that his party could not re-enter into an alliance with the BJP.
Hyderabad: There is no possibility for a thaw in the ongoing confrontation between the Telugu Desam and the Bharatiya Janata Party would be the most likely one-line summary of the report Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan would present to the Centre government.
On Sunday, Mr Narasimhan took a detour to Vijayawada on his way to Hyderabad from Vishakhapatnam and was closeted with the TD chief for about two hours.
Mr Naidu reportedly told the Governor that his party could not re-enter into an alliance with the BJP unless the Central government relented on the issue of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
Sources said that the Governor tried to convince Mr Naidu to rethink about his decision on breaking away from the NDA alliance and going against the BJP.
