Congress Leaders on KCR's Payroll: Bandi
Hyderabad: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was paying ‘pocket money’ to 30 Congress leaders to help them win the Assembly elections.
After the 2014 and 2018 Assembly elections, several Congress MLAs joined the BRS party. On similar lines, Rao was planning to induct Congress MLAs after the next Assembly elections, Sanjay said.
Speaking to reporters here, Sanjay said that people were firmly of the belief that the BJP alone could unseat the corrupt BRS.
Results of two byelections and the GHMC polls proved that BJP was the only viable alternative to the BRS, he said.
Congress leaders were daydreaming that they would come to power, but they should realise that they had lost deposits in most elections so far, he added.
Sanjay said that Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and senior leader K. Jana Reddy had confessed that an alliance between the Congress and the BRS was very likely. In contast, the BJP never shared dais with the BRS, he said.
Political rivals were making false accusaitons that the BJP was inching closer to the BRS, but people know it is false. It is people who will decide the fate of parties, he said.
Sanjay expressed confidence that the BJP would definitely come to power in Telangana in a few months.
