Manju’s lemon barb at Revanna
He added that he was not an aspirant for a ministerial berth in the new government.
Mysuru: Ex-minister and BJP leader Mr A. Manju took potshots at outgoing PWD Minister Mr H.D. Revanna remarking that neither his habit of carrying lemons not his penchant for walking barefoot (considered a vratha) could save the coalition government.
Mr Manju who was earlier in the Congress also recalled how ‘number 9’ has never been lucky for the Deve Gowda family considering that they faced misfortune in 1999, 2009 and now in 2019. “The Gowda family thought that things would turn in their favour if they postponed the session on Tuesday but it did not happen,” he said.
After offering pooja to Goddess Chamundeswari atop Chamundi hills, he said: “Nobody toppled the coalition government, they themselves toppled it.” He added that he was not an aspirant for a ministerial berth in the new government.
