Directionless' Opposition Has Made Up Its Mind To Remain in Oppn, Says Modi

Hitting out at the opposition over the ensuing logjam in the Parliament since the start of the Monsoon Session, PM Modi remarked, while addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting, that we have never witnessed such a ‘directionless’ opposition. As per the sources, taking a swipe at the opposition he said that in its frustration and disappointment it is conducting itself in a manner that clearly indicates that it has made up its mind to remain in opposition.

Mocking opposition alliance – INDIA, he compared it with examples of infamous names having India in them such as East India Company and Popular Front of India and stressed on the fact that people won’t be misled by this tactic of merely integrating the country’s name in their alliance name.

He stated that he is confident that BJP will retain power after 2024 elections, an encore of its performance in 2014 and 2019 with people’s unflinching support and India will become the third largest economy.

Meanwhile, opposition parties are considering moving no confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha as per the sources.

Monsoon session has been marred by frequent interruptions of its proceedings by the members of the freshly minted opposition alliance INDIA’s members who are demanding the PM to make a statement on the Manipur ethnic violence which has continued unabated for more than two months.
