No early elections in AP: Dy. CM Kottu Satyanarayana
Kurnool: Deputy Chief Minister Kottu Satyanarayana has refuted speculations that Andhra Pradesh will opt for early elections in the state.
“There is currently no need for such elections. Elections will be held as scheduled,” he remarked.
The Deputy CM arrived in Srisailam to perform the Varuna Yagam and Japam at the Srisailam Temple for a duration of seven days. Following insufficient rains, Srisailam Dam has not yet reached its full capacity.
Satyanarayana said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced plans to lay foundation stones for major development programmes in the Srisailam area next month.
On wildlife management, the minister said a comprehensive plan has been formulated to install fencing around the Srisailam Temple to prevent leopards, bears and other wild animals from entering the temple’s vicinity.
