HYDERABAD: The state Congress political affairs committee has decided to conduct a series of agitations on the unemployment issue from October 2 to December 9. TPCC office bearers and senior leaders discussed the modalities of the agitation on Saturday at a meeting, chaired by AICC Telangana in-charge Manickam Tagore.

Bolstered by the success of Dalit and Girijana Atma Gaurava Dandora programmes, the TPCC has initiated an agitation on the issue of unemployment.

They discussed measures to be taken to make a success of the Bharath Bandh programme slated for Monday.

Meanwhile, T. Jayaprakash Reddy’s withdrew his comments against TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy. Fellow-working president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that there are no differences among TPCC leaders and it is just a communication gap.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy invited disgruntled leaders from TRS, BJP, CPM, TD and BSP to join the Congress. He visited the residence of former PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who was instrumental in getting leaders of other parties into the Congress.

Senior leaders Mohammad Ali Shabbir, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, MPs, MLAs and MLCs took part in the meeting.
