Bengaluru: Congress leader V. S. Ugrappa, MLC, alleged on Monday that leaders of BJP were planning ‘Operation Kamala-2’ as part of their strategy to win polls to the Legislative Assembly in 2018.

He told the media here that recent statements of party president Amit Shah, state unit chief B.S. Yeddyurappa, and leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Jagadish Shettar, were evidence of their strategy. These leaders were currently wooing former revenue minister V. Srinivas Prasad, who quit his seat in the Legislative Assembly and the ruling Congress last, as well as those who were dropped from the ministry during the recent reshuffle, he added.

Taking a dig at these leaders for organizing a rally of the Scheduled Tribes in Raichur on Sunday, Mr Ugrappa said the BJP had done precious little for them while in office.
