Vijayawada: Following instructions from party chief and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the YSRC is launching bus yatras styled as Samajika Sadhikara (social empowerment) Yatras from three regions of Andhra Pradesh on October 26.

The Chief Minister said the party’s meetings would be held across the state daily – one in each region -- and local MLAs, party in-charges and SC, ST, BC and minority leaders would address these meetings.

“The leaders should explain the welfare benefits received by the SC, ST, BC and minorities in the last 52 months of the YSRC rule and highlight the achievements like social justice, women empowerment and benefits of revolutionary changes brought in education, medical and agricultural spheres," he said.

The Chief Minister said, “A clear message should also be sent out to the people through these bus yatras that the forthcoming elections will be a fight between the poor and the rich. The bus yatras will roll on for two months.”

The aim is to ensure victory for the YSRC in all 175 constituencies in the 2024 elections. In view of the good response to the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme from May last year, the party-related programmes are also being conducted.

For the Yatras, three buses have been specially arranged with the YSRC symbol Fan projected prominently on their front. At the top would appear the name Samajika Sadhikara Yatra. On the other three sides, stickers with “Maa Namakkam Nuvve Jagananna'' and photos of the Chief Minister have been set.

Images of prominent BC, SC, ST and minority leaders were also placed on these buses.
