Clean sweep for Congress in TS polls: Uttam

Update: 2023-10-24 18:31 GMT

Hyderabad: Former TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said he would quit politics if the party fell short of the 50,000 majority in the Huzurnagar and Kodad Assembly constituencies.

“The success of the party in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram will herald the march of Congress in making Rahul Gandhi the PM in 2024,” he said.

Addressing a public meeting in Huzurnagar, he said, “The party will make a clean sweep in the November polls. The people of Telangana will not be misled by the propaganda that the party is not implementing the guarantees in Karnataka. Rahul Gandhi promised during the bus yatra that a decision regarding the guarantees will be taken in the first Cabinet meeting of the Telangana government.”

“It is the BRS which has failed to keep its promises on three acres to Dalits, double bedrooms to the poor and 12 per cent reservation for Muslims. There is a Congress wave in the state and we will form the government. MLA Saidi Reddy has earned 300 acres by illegal means while my track record is clean,” he said.
