Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Srisailam: AP revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao said that after Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has come to power in Andhra Pradesh, radical changes have come about in education and medical fields.

He was speaking on the 20th day of YSR Congress' Samajika Sadhikra Yatra on Friday, when huge public meetings had been held in Jaggayapet of NTR district, Palakonda in Manyam district and Srisailam of Nandyal district.

Large numbers of people attended the gatherings at the three places. Speaking at Jaggayapet, Prasada Rao said AP has become a model for many states in the country in development and welfare.

He criticised opposition Telugu Desam and other parties for running a false propaganda against the state government. Health minister Vidadala Rajini lauded Jagan Mohan Reddy as a revolutionary leader, who has provided respect and dignity to backward communities.

She said, “In his inclusive cabinet, 17 individuals are from backward and marginalised sections, symbolising a significant 50 per cent representation at the ministerial level.” AP State Waqf Board chairman Khader Basha said YSRC means the party of BCs, SCs, STs and minorities. He pointed out that while former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu gave ₹2,000 crore for minority welfare in five years, CM Jagan has given ₹24,000 crore in the past four-and-a-half years.

In the other bus yatra at Palakonda, Deputy Chief Minister Peedika Rajanna Dora said that Jagan Mohan Reddy has given three lakh acres of land to Adivasis in the state during his rule, while Chandrababu Naidu did not distribute even an acre of land even though he had been the chief minister of AP for 14 years. Speaker Tammineni Sitaram said the AP CM has won the hearts of SC, BC, ST and minority communities by recognising 139 castes and creating 56 corporations.

Social welfare minister Merugu Nagarjuna, fisheries minister Seediri Appala Raju, Araku MP Gotteti Madhavi and Palakonda MLA V. Kalavathi addressed the gatherings.

In another bus yatra at Srisailam, Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha said while Chandrababu Naidu had provided pensions of ₹1,000 each to 30 lakh individuals, Jagan Mohan Reddy is now giving an enhanced ₹2,750 to 64 lakh people. MLA Hafeez Khan lauded the CM Jagan for being a visionary leader who made outstanding efforts during the challenging times of COVID-19 pandemic.
