JD(S) is ignoring me in Mysuru, says GT Devegowda
The MLA said that there was no question of him contesting from anywhere else, including Hunsur.
Mysuru: Seeming disgruntled with the Janata Dal (Secular) party, Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Devegowda on Thursday claimed that he was being sidelined by the party in Mysuru district and intended to complain about it to party supremo, H D Deve Gowda in person on June 16.
Speaking to reporters here, he charged that state JD(S) chief H D Kumaraswamy and KR Nagar MLA, Sa Ra Mahesh were taking all the decisions in the district and he was not consulted even in the selection of Mayor. “Also I am not informed about JD (S) meetings held in the district. I am deeply hurt by all this . I have already spoken about this to Mr Deve Gowda and when I meet him on June 16 I will complain to him in detail,” he said.
Asked if he would opt to contest from another constituency now that CM Siddaramaiah looked set to contest from Chamundeshwari in the coming polls, the MLA said that there was no question of him contesting from anywhere else, including Hunsur. “Mr Kumaraswamy had announced it long back that ticket for Hunsur would be given to my son, Harish Gowda. But the party’s change of heart on this has hurt me even more,” he added.
