Hyderabad: TS TD president L. Ramana is confident that the party will help form a coalition government in the state after the 2019 elections. He said the coalition government would allot Rs 25,000 crore to the agriculture sector in the Budget. He did not name the coalition partner.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Ramana said that the Mahanadu conducted on Thursday at Hyderabad had proved that the TD was strong enough in the state. He said that in the 2014 Assembly elections, TD had got 22 per cent votes and had won 20 Assembly and two Lok Sabha seats as part of the alliance. He said that the TD had a special role in running coalition governments.  He said that in the panchayat raj polls which are likely before general elections the TD would prove its strength.

Former MP and TD senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy expressed the hope that the TD would play a key role in 2019 elections and afterwards.
