Disgruntled MLAs to enter cabinet?

Bengaluru: In an effort to keep the coalition arrangement intact and thwart any attempt by the BJP to wean away legislators, CLP leader Siddaramaiah and CM H.D. Kumaraswamy reportedly worked out a strategy to accommodate disgruntled MLAs in the cabinet during their one-on-one meeting on Friday night.  Congress sources said some ministers from the Congress and JD(S) would make way for new faces soon.

Such a reshuffle of the ministry would ensure stability of the government. As the first step in this exercise, Ranebennur MLA  R. Shankar, who was dumped by the Congress for not joining the party as an associate member, was summoned by Mr Siddaramaiah ahead of his visit to Delhi this morning. Subsequently, Mr Shankar accompanied the former CM to Delhi to meet central leaders. Sources said similar offers would be made by leaders of coalition partners to other rebel legislators.
